Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you’ll be warmly greeted by your guide and driver, and then transferred to your hotel to rest after your journey. After a short break, begin exploring with visits to Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai, each rich in history and architecture. Continue your adventure with a climb up Mount Phousi, where panoramic views of the city and a stunning sunset over the Mekong River await. Dinner will be served at your hotel before heading out to browse the colorful Luang Prabang Night Market.

After breakfast, visit the Royal Palace Museum, home to rare royal artifacts and furnishings (please note: touching is not permitted). Then, board a scenic boat cruise up the Mekong River, enjoying peaceful river views and village life along the way. Arrive at the sacred Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha images rest inside limestone chambers and then return, stop at Ban Xanghai to sample traditional Lao rice wine.

Start your day early with a unique spiritual experience—witness or take part in the morning alms-giving ceremony to local monks. After breakfast, visit Wat Sene and the elegant Wat Xieng Thong, iconic for its sweeping roofs. Walk through the Phousi Morning Market, full of exotic local products, then continue to hill tribe villages including Ban Ouay and Ban Ou, known for traditional Lao crafts. Head to the breathtaking Kuang Si Waterfall, famous for its turquoise pools—perfect for a refreshing dip. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the falls, and return to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. Before sunset, visit Wat Siphouthabath, where you can observe monks in their daily routines.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and begin exploring. Visit Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple in the city, and Wat Prakeo, formerly home to the Emerald Buddha. Continue to the grand That Luang Stupa, the most important religious monument in Laos, and then make a photo stop at the Patuxay Monument, often compared to Paris’s Arc de Triomphe.
Overnight in Vientiane.
After breakfast, fly to Pakse in southern Laos. Upon arrival, transfer to the river to begin your Wat Phou cruise. Sail through gentle rapids and sandbanks on a long-tail riverboat before arriving at the 10th-century Wat Phou Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site from the pre-Angkor period. As the day ends, enjoy a relaxing dinner and sunset on board while the boat docks near a remote village along the river.

Start the day with breakfast onboard, then stop at the village of Huey Thamo, a short walk from the secluded Oum Muong Temple, nestled in a forest. Continue sailing south, with lunch served on deck, as you cruise toward the 4000 Islands region. Stop at Ban Dua Tae, a traditional Laotian village on the way to Khong Island, and immerse yourself in the preserved local culture. Enjoy another peaceful evening on the boat, accompanied by the sounds of nature.
Overnight on the Wat Phou Riverboat.
Enjoy breakfast while cruising to Ban Veuthong, where you’ll transfer to a small boat and explore Khone Island. Admire remnants of the French colonial era, including historic houses and an old customs post. Later, drive to the powerful Khong Phapheng Waterfall, the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia. In the afternoon, transfer to Pakse (approx. 2 hours).
