Kumbakonam is also known for its brass vessels and traditional filter coffee — a great spot for a short cultural break. Your next stop is Chidambaram, home to the revered Nataraja Temple, a major Shaivite pilgrimage center. Dedicated to Lord Shiva in his dancing form (Nataraja), the temple is an architectural and spiritual marvel, showcasing the philosophical idea of Shiva as the source of movement in the universe. Don’t miss the inner sanctum symbolizing the formless (Chidambara Rahasyam). In the evening, you can drive to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. You may take a leisurely evening stroll along the Promenade Beach.
