Welcome to Vientiane! Upon arrival, begin your journey through Laos with a visit to the sacred Wat Si Muang, one of the city’s most venerated temples known for its spiritual charm and local significance. Continue your tour with a drive to the fascinating Buddha Park (also known as Xieng Khuan), located around 45 minutes from the city. En route, make a brief stop to admire and capture photos of the Friendship Bridge, a symbolic structure built in 1994 by the Australian Government, which connects Laos and Thailand over the Mekong River. Upon arriving at the park, stroll through its tranquil grounds and marvel at more than 200 unique concrete statues depicting Buddhist and Hindu deities. The sculptures—some whimsical, others eerie—create an unusual but captivating spiritual experience. After exploring this one-of-a-kind park, return to Vientiane for the evening and then return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Vientiane Hotel.
After breakfast, start with a visit to Talad Sao market for local shopping. Continue to Wat Sisaket, known for its thousands of Buddha statues, and Wat Ho Phra Keo, once home to the Emerald Buddha. Next, visit the sacred That Luang Stupa, the national symbol of Laos. Stop for photos at the iconic Patuxay Monument, often called the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane. In the afternoon, drive to Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan), stopping briefly at the Friendship Bridge. Explore over 200 unique Buddhist and Hindu sculptures in this serene riverside garden. End your day with a peaceful sunset walk along the Mekong River before returning to the hotel and overnight stay at Vientiane Hotel.
After enjoying breakfast, take a short flight from Vientiane to the charming town of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival and some time to relax, begin your cultural journey with a visit to the Wat Visoun, known for its impressive stupa and centuries-old architecture. Continue to the Traditional Arts and Ethnology Center, where you’ll gain insight into the diverse ethnic groups and traditions of Laos. Next, explore the National Museum, once the Royal Palace, which offers a glimpse into the rich history of the country. Then head to the beautiful Wat Xieng Thong, one of Luang Prabang’s most revered temples with its ornate carvings and sweeping roofs. Later in the day, climb the 328 steps up Mount Phousi, the city's iconic hill, to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Luang Prabang at sunset. End your evening wandering through the Night Market, where you’ll find a colorful array of handmade textiles and crafts created by local artisans from surrounding villages then return back to the hotel and overnight stay at Luang Prabang hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic cruise on the Mekong River to reach the famous Pak Ou Caves, home to thousands of Buddha statues nestled in two limestone caverns. Continue to Ban Muangkeo, a local village known for its traditional rice whiskey, where you can observe and sample their craft. In the afternoon, return to Luang Prabang and head south to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall, stopping en route at Ban Na Oune, a Hmong ethnic village. Enjoy a picnic lunch and free time for swimming in the cool, turquoise pools. Return to Luang Prabang and conclude the day with dinner (by own) at a local restaurant then return back to your hotel and overnight stay at Luang Prabang hotel.
After breakfast, enjoy some leisure time to relax or explore the town on your own. Depending on your flight schedule, our team will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey. Your tour ends with happy memories. Thanks from “A2Z Trip” for visiting Laos.
