Discover the soul of Meghalaya in its charming capital, Shillong — the “Scotland of the East.” This tour takes you through pine-covered hills, cascading waterfalls, colonial streets, and serene lakes. A perfect escape into the heart of the Northeast.

Itinerary

We will receive you at Guwahati Airport/Railway station and will take you straight to Shillong, which is nearly 4 hours’ drive from Guwahati. On the way, visit Umiam Lake aka Borapani, which is a mesmerizing man-made reservoir encircled with lush green hills and later proceed to Shillong & check into the hotel. Afterwards, step out and explore the Shillong, Ward’s Lake, Shillong Golf Course, and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar, the lively local market for shopping and local street food.

Meals No Meals

After morning breakfast, head out for a full day of sightseeing in and around Shillong. Visit, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Don Bosco Museum (one of the best museums in North East India showcasing tribal culture and heritage closed on Sundays), Lady Hydari Park, Laitlum Canyons. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar, the lively local market for shopping and local street food.
