A perfect mix of misty hills, sacred shrines, and village serenity—this 6-day Meghalaya tour takes you from Guwahati’s spiritual aura to the charming highlands of Shillong, the clean lanes of Mawlynnong, and the rain-drenched cliffs of Cherrapunjee.
Itinerary
We will receive you at Guwahati Airport/Railway station and will take you straight to Shillong, which is nearly 4 hours’ drive from Guwahati. On the way, visit Umiam Lake aka Borapani, which is a mesmerizing man-made reservoir encircled with lush green hills and later proceed to Shillong & check into the hotel. Afterwards, step out and explore the Shillong, Ward’s Lake, Shillong Golf Course, and Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. In the evening you can visit the Police Bazaar, the lively local market for shopping and local street food.

After morning breakfast, check out from hotel and drive to Mawlynnong (Asia’s Cleanest Village) & check-in the Homestay & relax sometime then explore Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong Village Walk, Living Root Bridge at Riwai, Sky Walk / Bamboo Viewpoint then Proceed to Visit Dawki, Umngot River boat ride (known for crystal-clear water). Return back to the homestay.

After morning breakfast, check out from Homestay and drive to Cherrapunjee & check-in the Hotel & relax sometime then explore Cherrapunjee. Nohkalikai Falls (India's tallest plunge waterfall), Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, Arwah Caves, Wah Kaba Falls (seasonal).

Early morning (5 AM) your journey (Optional) to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya is a must-visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It's a 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). The approx. time to complete the journey (both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. After returning from double-decker Root Bridge then return back to cherrapunji hotel. Dainthlen Falls, Thangkharang Park.

After morning breakfast, check out from hotel and drive back to Guwahati & check-in the hotel. Umananda Temple, Navagraha Temple, Guwahati War Memorial, Stroll along the Brahmaputra Riverfront at sunset.
